A railway track has been put into operation on the premises of DK-Industrial LLC, opening up new opportunities for the export of agricultural products and the development of logistics in the region. The project was implemented in collaboration with Ukrainian Railways JSC, specifically its regional branch, Odessa Railway.
The railway infrastructure had not been used for over 15 years. As part of the project, access tracks with a total length of nearly 4 km were restored and put into operation.
This is one of the largest railway construction infrastructure projects implemented in the region during martial law.
For the first time in the history of the Uman station, containerized cargo shipments by rail have begun. The infrastructure’s capacity allows for the simultaneous servicing of over 50 freight cars.
Maksym Bovkun, station manager at Khristinivka Station of the “Station Operations Service” production unit of the “Odessa Railway” regional branch, noted:
“This is an important infrastructure milestone for the entire region. For the first time in the history of the Uman station, we are launching container transportation. The restoration of the track, which had not been in operation for over 15 years, allows us to significantly strengthen our logistics potential both in the domestic market and for exports.”
